GEOCLOCK HAM map editor Copyright 1991 - Joseph R Ahlgren 91/03/10
This program allows a HAM package user to modify the identification data
displayed on the HAM map during HAM operation. The editor is called by:
HAMEDIT [map file name]
where [map file name] is an optional map file. The default map file name
is MAP9009.EGA, which is the name of the map supplied with the HAM package.
The identification information is four lines long, with the following
maximum lengths and usual contents:
Line 1 10 Characters Call Sign
Line 2 11 Characters User Name
Line 3 14 Characters User Location
Line 4 19 Characters Not used
The user can change these lines by specifying a line number when prompted,
then entering the new contents. The line will be limited to the above
lengths. When finished, enter 0 for the line number. HAMEDIT then creates
a new map number (the smallest unused number larger than 9009), writes the
revised map to it, and makes a copy of GEO9009.DAT with the corresponding
number. After the new map has been tested, you may want to delete the
old one and rename the new one.
